login_view

The Bitplaces Cloud Management is divided into 4 areas:

Back to the Table of Contents

Bitplaces

bitplaces

By using the ‘Bitplaces’ tab the user can create new Bitplaces, view, edit, delete, change the status and share existing Bitplaces with partner accounts.

Back to the Table of Contents

Create new Bitplaces

bitplaces_create

When creating a New Bitplace, the user can choose the Bitplace type (Geofence Bitplace vs. Beacon Bitplace) and set additional parameters.

Back to the Table of Contents

Create a new Geofence Bitplace

bitplaces_createstandard

When choosing the Geofence Bitplace type, the user creates a geofence Bitplace for outdoors.

Back to the Table of Contents

Set the location of a Bitplace

bitplaces_setloc

A Geofence Bitplace’s location can be set and adjusted via the address field and/or by setting the geo-coordinates directly and/or by dragging the Bitplace directly on the map.

Back to the Table of Contents

Set the radius of a Standard Bitplace

bitplaces_setrad

The default radius of a Geofence Bitplace is set to 50m. It defines the Bitplace’s outer limits, setting its borders for IN- and OUT-event triggers. The size of the radius can be adjusted either by direct input of the figure or by dragging the slider until the desired radius size is reached.

Back to the Table of Contents

Add a URL to a Bitplace

bitplaces_addurl

When a URL is added to a Bitplace, this URL can be utilized by the user’s app connected to the respective account and enriched by the Bitplaces SDK.

Back to the Table of Contents

Add a Foreign ID to a Bitplace

bitplaces_addforeignid

An additional identifier can be added to each Bitplace, e.g. in order to connect it with the user’s CRM software. This additional identifier is the Foreign ID.

Back to the Table of Contents

Set a Bitplace as CIB

bitplaces_setcib

The user can set a Bitplace to act as a Channel Independent Bitplace (CIB). A user is subscribed to a CIB independent of the category he actively selects in the app. If the user does not select any category in the app or the app doesn’t provide the option of selecting categories, the user will still be subscribed to Bitplaces marked as Channel Independent Bitplaces.

Back to the Table of Contents

Manage the Bitplace picture

bitplaces_managepic

The ‘Manage Picture’ button triggers a popup, via which the user can change the default picture for each Bitplace individually by uploading new pictures and selecting the existing ones. The Bitplaces picture is the one displayed in the app’s general inbox view (gallery view) next to each message attached to this particular Bitplace.

Back to the Table of Contents

Assign Campaign Labels to a Bitplace

bitplaces_assigncamp

The ‘Assign Campaign Labels’ button triggers a popup, via which the user can assign labels to a Bitplace. These labels (set up in the My Account section) provide a group mechanism for Bitplaces and Messages, which e.g. belong to the same marketing campaign. Events and messages can then be evaluated and analyzed based on which campaigns the respective Bitplaces and/or Messages belong to.

Back to the Table of Contents

Assign Categories to a Bitplace

bitplaces_assigncategories

The ‘Assign Categories’ button triggers a popup, via which the user can assign categories to a Bitplace. These categories (set up in the My Account section) can be made available on the mobile app’s side for the app-user to select from and define his interests. When an app user selects e.g. the category ‘Technology’ and does not select the category ‘Sports’, she will only receive message in Bitplaces, which have the category ‘Technology’ assigned to and not in those ones with the category ‘Sports’ (Bitplaces Channel Concept).

Back to the Table of Contents

In the default scenario, each BLE-Beacon is synced with this account-UUID. Its also possible to add additional (multiple) UUIDs to the account. By doing so, there is no need to reconfigure already existing beacons in order to use them.

Back to the Table of Contents

The Major and Minor of a Beacon Bitplace

bitplaces_majmin

The Major and Minor are the secondary BLE-Beacon identifiers. If left blank, they will be filled with arbitrary values, which do not repeat within one account.

Back to the Table of Contents
